Ryan Schaefges

Ryan Schaefges

Prior to launching his own firm, Ryan worked at Mar~Cal Law as an associate. There he successfully represented residential, commercial and industrial property owners in their real estate tax appeals in Cook and the surrounding counties. He represented clients before the Countys' Assessor's Office, County's Boards of Review, and through the Property Tax Appeal Board of Illinois. He also worked with clients to ensure a smooth closing for both buyers and sellers of all types of real estate.

Ryan received his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in May 2013, where he received JD certificates in Alternate Dispute Resolution and Trial Advocacy. During Law School he clerked at Marino & Assoc., P.C. and at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, worker's compensation divison. Before joining Mar~Cal Law, Ryan served as a volunteer attorney for CARPLS Legal Aid.

Ryan brings an analytical mind and attention to detail to everything he does. He honed these skills while studying Computer Science, Math, and Art as an undergraduate. After graduation Ryan worked as a Database Specialist and In-House IT Assistant in a Boise law firm until attending law school.
